When it starts to feel like spring in Jackson, the skies are crystal blue, the sun warms you and the Huckleberry Hot Springs are the perfect spot! My brother and his family were in town for spring break and my nephews and niece had never been to a natural hot springs before. As we drove to the hot springs, they kept asking about these “hot tubs” and where the water was coming from. The drive quickly turned into a geology lesson for everyone.
The drive to the hot springs is amazing, as you parallel the Tetons most of the way. The hot springs are located in Grand Teton National Park, closer to Yellowstone and about a 45 minute drive from Jackson. Once you get to the trailhead, it is about a 1 mile hike in and it sometimes requires snowshoes or cross country skis, but in the spring the trail is perfectly packed down for an nice walk.
Once we arrived at the hot springs, the kids didn’t waste any time trying out the new “hot tub”.
